They don’t deserve one star! I have insurance with Gieco and they provide roadside for Gieco. I Called for a roadside assistance ETA and was greeted by a nasty dispatcher with an attitude! I informed the dispatcher the plastic piece that hold the tire in place was stuck and the tech would need a tool to remove it when he comes for service, the tech shows up with no tools at all and a attitude as well telling me dispatch didn’t notify him he would need a tool to remove the the plastic piece so he couldn’t help me and he left! I called dispatch back and ask him why he didn’t relay to the tech he would need a tool, the dispatcher immediately caught another attitude and told me the tech said he couldn’t remove the plastic piece because it was rusted which was a lie. i told him the piece was plastic and plastic DO NOT rust and he did nothing to help me! the dispatcher hung up the phone in my face completely rude and leaving me stranded at midnight I DO NOT RECOMMEND
First of all, I would like to apologize for the delay last night. Sometimes, regardless of how we try to staff accordingly workflow can get extremely backed up and we run into long delays. Your phone call to our dispatcher to tell them that you needed a tool to remove the tire Did not go on her, the drivers all carry a wide range of tools to accomplish the task we are faced. In your case, the plastic wingnut, which has a metal nut in bedded in it, failed. That nut rusted to the threaded bolt in your trunk from lack of use and moisture, and we were unable to remove it. As we explain to you, there’s no tool that will do that job. The only choice we have is to destroy both the thread and the wingnut to try to remove the tire or offer you a tow. It is Geico policy that if you need a tow you must contact the call center, even if we call for you, they will require to speak to you personally. You did not like this alternative and no matter how many times explain to you that it wasn’t a tool that was the issue. It was your defective car. You did not want to hear. If the dispatcher was rude I apologize as we were in a stressful situation with many cars holding. You were offered a tow, but did not want options you wanted the only solution you were willing to except. Once again, my apologies however, we have to follow the guidelines and if we break protocol and destroy your spare tire apparatus to make you happy in the moment yes, google complete would still be one star, and instead with narrate how this company destroys peoples property in an effort to do a job.
