Would give a negative star review if possible. As a AAA service provider their level of customer support is abysmal. They botched a battery replacement, hard to do, but they did. Did not replace all the hardware on the negative pole. When the failure of the negative pole resulted in an error light they botched that repair. Took the car to our normal MECHANIC (capital letters to illustrate the difference) he diagnosed and repaired in 15 min. The owner of Action defended the his son’s original work and their “repair” to the detriment of their credibility. They maybe able to tow, however they can’t deliver on the Service portion of their name - Action towing and service. Beware of sending your wife or daughter there. Very misogynistic and disrespectful. As a life time AAA Gold member I will be writing a letter to corporate to let them know how their provider is representing their name Monroe County.
Darin, I waited until today to respond to your one star childish review. Facts: I have never met you nor did you bring this vehicle into the shop. Fact: There is 1 bolt that attaches your positive cable to the battery. We have been in business for 20 years, and you clearly have no understanding of what battery hardware is. However, let me digress...We treated the young female who brought the Buick in with the upmost courtesy and respect as I have children myself. I informed her that my son did do the work on the battery install on the vehicle to help to reassure her we would makes things right IF there was an issue. Fact: We installed the battery TWO years ago on a AAA roadside assistance call . Once again, we did the battery install on your vehicle two years ago, had there been an issue it surely would have been discovered in the routine maintenance and NYS inspections done by your mechanic. Fact: 2 years ago when the battery was installed, there was a starter draw issue. The vehicle needed to be towed. My son noted all this on the sales receipt that was provided to you. He clearly stated that the positive terminal was not installed due to the starter draw... The vehicle was brought to Action where we diagnosed and installed the starter, connected the battery and tested the system. So to review: We installed a battery two years ago on a AAA road assistance call. We then diagnosed and repaired the vehicle on the service side of the business in 2022.... AND TWO years later you’re blaming us for your mechanical issue, which you claim is a result of a bad connection. The vehicle has 2 subsequent NYS inspections and hopefully routine Maintenace by your mechanic with no notable issue??? Regardless of that insanity, we immediately brought the vehicle into the service bays, and did a complete computer scan to discover your Alternator was only charging at 11.7V. Our technician inspected both battery terminals, cleaned them and replace them. Re-scanned the vehicle and found the charging system to come back online and was showing 13V. All this was provided to the vehicle owner and she signed the repair order acknowledging what we had done. We then sent her on her way with zero charges. Once again, we charged her nothing, even though the battery install occurred two years ago and we had no complacency in current mechanical issue.. She was treated with the upmost respect and courtesy. I am unsure if you even know the definition of the word misogynistic. But I can guarantee you as a father and a husband that is not what she experienced. Your childish, woke temper tantrum post from the "safe space" behind your computer, after never even speaking with me, or anyone in my staff, after we did the right thing tell me all I need to know about you, Karen. I could care less about your lifetime gold member status at AAA. I could care less about your one star review. I just pray that if that was your daughter, or your wife, she has a better example of what a man should look like other than your the weak, entitled, petty example you have shown them. This is one of the dumbest reviews I have ever had to reply to...congratulations, I give you 1 star as human being. Here is the actual verbiage on the no charge work order we provided Morgan when she left: WE PULLED THE VEHICLE INTO THE SHOP AND NOTICED THAT THE ALTERNATOR WAS CHARGING AT 11.5V. WE SCANNED THE VEHICLE AND NOTICED THAT THERE WAS AN EVAP LEAK P0446 AND GENERATOR L TERMINAL P1637. WE DISCONNECTED BOTH THE POSITIVE AND NEGATIVE TERMINALS AND SPRAYED ANTI CORROSION SOLUTION ON BOTH TERMINALS AND THE VEHICLE IS NOW CHARGING AT 13.7 VOLTS.
